Public benefits

The direct benefit flowing from our purpose include increased community awareness of the deaf community, increased communication between the deaf and hearing communities, easy access to community services and facilities provision and the development of an inclusive programme for personal support. The benefits are identified and evidenced through

user feedback forms, attendance sheets of who attend training, increased number of programmes the are attended by the deaf community and the actual levels of isl/bsl signers increasing in the community. There are no harmful risks arising from any of our purposes. The organisations beneficiaries are the public from the Derry and Tyrone areas. The private benefit flowing from this are increased communication support, awareness of the deaf community and the learning of ISL/BSL sign language which are transferable to other settings but this is incidental and necessary for programme development.
