Public benefits
The direct benefits flowing from our purpose of the furtherance of Christian faith are people receiving Christian teaching, fellowship, prayer support and pastoral visits. This is achieved through regular church gatherings, bible studies, home visits and regular communication. The public benefit of this is people growing in their spiritual life
while finding peace and hope for each day and in the future. People also gain a sense of belonging and assistance to deal with difficulties that they may face daily. The direct benefit flowing from our purpose of practical help is providing people with housing, furniture, clothes, financial support and food. We also assist with documentation for jobs, schooling, benefits and for those who are seeking asylum or citizenship. We provide transport for attendance of appointments, moving house and medical treatment. The benefit of this help and support is the relief of poverty, reduction of stress and anxiety for families, reduction of feelings of isolation and despair. The benefits also include a sense of achievement for parents and carers as they can provide their families with suitable shelter, safety, comfort and clothing. The public benefit flowing from our purpose of outreach and educational work in other countries is children being able to attend school regularly through school sponsorship programmes. These provide school fees, uniform, books and completion of exams. The benefit of this is the advancement of education this provides wider opportunities to children living in severe poverty. These children gain knowledge and skills enabling them to find employment or further education which will benefit themselves, their families and their communities. The benefits mentioned above can be demonstrated through personal testimonies, evidence of housing provided by the charity and financial accounts demonstrating use of funds for charitable work. Sponsorship progammes for schools in Haiti providing regular sponsorships for approximately 90 children. We are not aware or see evidence of any harm arising from any of the purposes. The Charity's beneficiaries are the local community including asylum seekers, homeless community, single parents, those living in poverty, young people and children, and people with mental health issues. International poverty relief in under developed countries including advancement of health, education and religion. There is no private benefit flowing from any of the purposes.
... [more] [less]What your organisation does
We meet each Sunday morning for worship and preaching/teaching of our faith. We provide practical support to local families and individuals on a daily basis bringing encouragement, love and hope to those in need. From 2004 we have been supporting Grace Christian School, Bellanton, Haiti. A sponsorship program allows many children to attend school
daily. Since 2014 we have been involved in supporting a sponsorship programme in Grand Goave, Haiti. Since 2014 we have also been involved in facilitating Church planting, a discipleship program and addressing social issues in the territory of Kwamouth in the DR of Congo.
