Public benefits

The direct benefits which flow from the purposes include the furthering of teaching, knowledge and information of the Orthodox Christian Faith as held and expressed in the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia (ROCOR). The direct benefits also include pastoral care for Orthodox Christians, and the opportunity for furthering of spiritual well-being

for all. These benefits are shown through the feedback given by attendees and visitors – in person and as online reviews on the Facebook page. This purpose does not lead to any harm. The beneficiaries of this Charity are the general public, who are welcome to attend. This includes Orthodox Christians who are able to practice their faith and receive access to sacraments. A private benefit flowing from this purpose is gained by an individual who owns the building that is used by the charity if a rental price is charged. This is not the case at present but could be in future. In this case, as the building is necessary to the achievement of the purpose and the rent will be reasonable, the private benefit would be incidental and outweighed by the benefit to the beneficiaries.

What your organisation does
