Public benefits

1. The direct benefits which flow from these purposes include increased prospects of finding employment, promotion of individual feelings of self-worth and confidence, promotion of family life and community. 2. The direct benefits which flow from these purposes include increased awareness and knowledge of factors affecting offenders and

ex-offenders which in turn will lead to less anti-social behaviour and less hardship for future generations and promotion of family life. This in turn advances employment opportunities and individual well being, social inclusion and alleviates stress and loneliness. Benefits are evidenced through feedback from beneficiaries and their families and stakeholders. This purpose does not give rise to any harm. The beneficiaries of this purpose are offenders and ex-offenders living in Northern Ireland. A private benefit to trustees and staff may arise from our programme of ongoing training in good governance, finance etc. which enhance the charities ability to deliver its services. Through this training trustees and staff gain skills and experience which are transferable to other settings. These skills are incidental and necessary to ensure the described benefit is provided to those we care for, our beneficiaries.

What your organisation does

The provision of training and employment opportunities for people who are disengaged from the employment market. To turn around the futures of people who are serving sentences in prison or in the community, but who want to leave offending behaviour behind and the wider community, encouraging others to support people on their journey away from

offending. A reduction in re-offending rates, and thereby a reduction in the individual, social and financial impact of crime. Increased public understanding of, and engagement in meeting, the needs of people who are seeking to move away from criminal behaviour.
