Public benefits

The organisation will rescue and rehome stray or abandoned companion animals. This will give the public the opportunity to rehome an animal and thereby receive all the recognised benefits of pet ownership . It will also educate the public on the correct treatment of animals to mitigate ill treatment through ignorance. The evidence of this will

be seen in a reduced number of animals destroyed in council pounds in Northern Ireland, the reduction in cruelty to animals, including a reduced number of animal welfare cases before the courts. There is no harm arising from the purpose. General public, in particular anyone who rehomes an animal from the sanctuary. The rate payers of the area who may see the costs incurred by their local councils in dealing with stray and abandoned animals decreased. They may also see the costs incurred by the Councils in dealing with animal welfare matters decreased. There is no private benefit flowing from the purpose.
