Purpose 1: To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Bogside and wider area of Derry City, Strabane and Limavady council areas (the” area of benefit”) without distinction of sex, race or political, religious or other opinions. The direct benefit that flows from this purpose is the accessibility for all inhabitants to services without the
fear of discrimination, hate or judgement. These benefits will be evidenced through our different monitoring and impact measuring tools for each project which collates all relevant section 75 data for each participant engaged within the activities, programmes and services we provide. Purpose 2: To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Bogside and wider area of Derry City, Strabane and Limavady council areas (the” area of benefit”) by relieving poverty, sickness, distress and disablement. Inhabitants will have a greater understanding of their financial entitlement which will, in most cases, subsequently lead to an increase in income leading to a greater quality of life. Inhabitants will feel a greater sense of calm through accessing our specialist services such as drug and alcohol support, domestic abuse support, counselling. Older people will feel less isolated and have the ability to access services to address sickness or disablement. our different monitoring and impact measuring tools for each project which collates all relevant section 75 data for each participant engaged within the activities, programmes and services we provide. It will also be evidenced via regular evaluation and feedback from service users and referring agencies. Purpose 3: Advancing education. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include an increase in unemployment and a higher percentage of inhabitants returning to education through the provision of community education. Support with interviews, CV building and mentoring in addition to level 1 & 2 skills based courses will lead to a greater percentage of inhabitants securing employment. The benefits are evidenced through A centralised Social Impact Tracker which will collate numbers accessing the service, their experience and also the amount who gained employment as a result of accessing the service. Purpose 4: Providing facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include an increase in the physical and mental health and wellbeing of inhabitants through the delivery of welfare rights, youth services, women's services, older people services and services for children, young people and families experiencing substance misuse. An increase in community and family life participation. The benefits are evidenced through robust impact monitoring tools in addition to service user feedback and evaluation. The charities beneficiaries are Young people aged 5-25, individuals on benefits, individuals experiencing financial problems, women living with domestic abuse, children, young people and families experiencing substance misuse, unemployed or inactive individuals, vulnerable and isolated older people. There is no harm or private benefit flowing from these purposes.

Dove House currently provides the following services: Dove House Advice Services Project: A front line service providing individuals with information in relation to their welfare entitlements. DHAS operates an appointment service for clients to avail of generalist advice and an appeals service. Youth Provision: Youth First: A project providing
youth provision for local children aged 4 – 25 years. Youth Engagement Service: A one stop shop health and wellbeing project, funded as part of a Regional One Stop Shop initiative via the Public Health Agency. YES offers services to 11-25year Education & Training: Skills North West: Additionally, DHCT has become a delivery agent for the Skills North West programme, led by Triax, the Neighbourhood Renewal Partnership Boards (NRPB’s) and RAPID. With the provision of both these projects, Dove House encourages and continues to create a culture of learning which seeks to lessen the gap between job opportunities that are available and the ability of people within Neighbourhood Renewal areas to access these opportunities. Know it, Change it, Live it: Funded by Urban Villages Programme. The projects aim is to promote financial inclusion services among people on lower incomes. Women’s Services The Advocacy Project: this project engages with women who are primarily experiencing domestic abuse. The projects aim is to work with women at a very localised, grass routes level and support them to access the specialised services they need.
