Public benefits
To educate the general public as to the benefits, including health, personal development, education and social inclusion through community sports opportunities. The direct benefits arising from the purpose include developing people and communities through 'sport' to contribute to a safe, shared Belfast with improved health and wellbeing outcomes,
enhanced mental health, personal development and community/social inclusion. These benefits are demonstrated through extensive government research and statistics, local health and other strategies and feedback from our beneficiaries gained through the regular evaluation of our services. In providing multi activity programmes there is a risk of minor injury which may occur through increased participation in physical activity. This harm is outweighed by the benefits of improved mental and physical health. The risk of injury is mitigated by way of health check assessments, ongoing training, fully qualified employees and volunteers using equipment and resources correctly within health and safety guidelines.
