Public benefits

The organisation meets the Public Benefit requirement through the advancement of religion. We promote the celebration and public worship, spread the principles of the Christian religion, seek to raise awareness and understanding of religious beliefs and practices and carry out outreach work. We provide a church building as a place of worship for

all. Our purposes do contribute to the mental health and general well being of followers. We promote moral improvement of society on Christian lines for a section of the public. To the best of our knowledge and efforts there is no private harm flowing to anyone from the purposes and activities of our church. Nor is there any private benefit unless of an incidental nature, eg personal gain from qualifications/experience acquired through voluntary work in youth organisations. As stated our purpose is to promote the Christian faith as experienced through the guidelines of The Free Methodist Church. To this end we promote Biblical principles in Bible studies and weekly services in the church premises and in home study groups. In addition we strive to teach life and social skills to all ages from preschool to young adults through our range of youth organisations. There are informal times, separated by age, when young people learn how to behave in a social setting and treat others with respect. For the younger children (aged 4 - 9) this is through play, dance, crafts and group chat. For aged 10 upwards through usual youth club indoor sports, media etc. In a more formal setting, Campaigners gives children, via a series of awards, a confidence in social and domestic skills and an awareness of their environment. All organisations are run in accordance with Biblical principles and FMC guidelines.

What your organisation does

There are two Sunday worship services plus weekly and special services throughout the year. We operate the following; Ladies Fellowship, youth organisations, both uniformed and non- uniformed for ages 4-18. We provide a coffee evening for parents and special parents nights throughout the year. We run an art class, a holiday bible club and family

fun days. All the above are run on Christian principles which we believe improve the moral and social conditions of humanity. These activities are open to the local and wider community. We also financially support students who are training for Christian Ministry and provide training experience for the same.
