Public benefits
To provide education and training in dance and its related arts activities through dance workshops and performance projects for children, young people, prisoners, refugees and other people who may for whatever reason be excluded from society. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose are personal and social development with positive changes
at an individual and at a community level. This includes raising self-esteem, improved confidence, learning of new skills and improved physical health for individuals and the facilitation of working collectively as a team, integration and promoting attitudes based on tolerance and respect for communities as a whole. These benefits are demonstrated through a well-tested process of teaching, rehearsal and performance whereby participants are able, often for the first time, to reach a high level of focus, discipline and motivation. The results are demonstrated through feedback from participants, from their teachers, parents and from audience members who see the work performed together with regular independent evaluation. The purposes of our charity do not lead to any harm for individuals or communities. The charity’s beneficiaries are children, young people, prisoners (so as to further their relief and rehabilitation), refugees and others who may, for whatever reason in the opinion of the Company, be excluded from society. The charity’s benefits are provided through an inclusive policy of participation, without preconception of ability. A private benefit to dance facilitators may arise through their involvement in delivering our work to beneficiaries. Through this they may gain skills and experience which are transferable to other settings. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries. (b) for such other charitable purposes as the Company may from time to time decide. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose, should the charity wish to expand its activities and purposes in the future are tied solely to charitable purposes for the public benefit relating to our main purpose (a) for personal and social development with positive changes at an individual and at a community level. This includes raising self-esteem, improved confidence, learning of new skills and improved physical health for individuals and the facilitation of working collectively as a team, integration and promoting attitudes based on tolerance and respect for communities as a whole. These benefits are demonstrated through feedback from our beneficiaries, partners and stakeholders. A private benefit to dance facilitators or any other individuals may arise through their involvement in delivering our work to beneficiaries. Through this they may gain skills and experience which are transferable to other settings. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.
