Public benefits

The two core beneficiaries of our work are: • Children under 11 who Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families. • Individuals who are wheelchair users . We also strive to ensure that we target beneficiaries from disadvantaged communities and groups. The Public Benefit we provide By achieving its mission and aims and objectives, ADNI

meets its charitable objective of: The relief of those in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. This is demonstrated in a number of ways including: • Relieving persons in need by reason of disability through training and providing assistance dogs to them. • Improving the quality of life for children with ASD and their families • Improving the quality of life for individuals who are wheelchair users. • Addressing challenging behaviour and reduce family stress • Reducing reliance on medication • Enhancing social skills, self-esteem and self-confidence for children and families • Improving access and mobility and promoting independence • Allowing children to express emotions and better articulate their needs • Facilitating families to become better integrated within their communities • Enabling children and families to come together and learn • Raising awareness of ASD and physical disabilities. How we measure the benefit we provide A primary measure of our work will be through the use of social impact measurement models such as Social Return on Investment (SROI) and Social Auditing and the results will be made public and provided to funders and stakeholders. We will also hold impact assessments and consultations with our beneficiaries, staff, volunteers and stakeholders. In addition, we will measure the impact of its work using data that is measured against internal performance indicators (PIs) and where possible against external benchmarks.
