Public benefits
The public benefit flowing from these purposes are that some of the community and voluntary services in the Magherafelt district are brought together under one roof. This means that the individuals or groups from that district will have easier access to, and knowledge of such services. The disabled and senior citizens of the district will benefit
from the provision of community transport to cater for the needs of both individuals and groups. They will also benefit from the links made by the community transport association and the other members of the Rainey Centre. All member groups will benefit from the office provided by the Rainey Centre and the administration support offered to them via this centre. They will benefit from having access to payroll, book-keeping, financial record keeping, community databases and secretarial services when required by them. Individual community and voluntary groups will benefit from being able to access advice and information on all community and voluntary activity within the Magherafelt district through the services of the Rainey Centre. All residents of the Magherafelt community would benefit from any community health or well-being services offered by Rainey Centre members who may also provide welfare information and some citizen advice services. The benefits will be measured by the numbers of groups becoming members of the Rainey Centre, the numbers of individuals wishing to avail of its services, the numbers of phone calls dealt with by the Rainey Centre and the number of activities promoted and organised by members through the Rainey Centre. These benefits will be measured by constant monitoring and evaluation, reports on all activities will be made available to Directors at Rainey Centre meetings. Rainey Centre members will be encouraged to maintain records of all activities pertaining to their connections to the Rainey Centre. There is no private benefit flowing from the purposes of the Rainey Centre other than payments to staff members essential for the ongoing activities of the Centre. There is no harm flowing from any of the purposes of the Rainey Centre.
