Public benefits
The direct benefits which flow from purpose 1 include 1. An effective and efficient network of charities working in the International Development arena in Northern Ireland, which will promote and provide opportunities to share information and best practice regarding the international development related work undertaken by all CADA members.
Supporters of CADA Members will also benefit from the charities they support working more effectively and efficiently and having greater impact. These benefits are (will be) demonstrated through the number of CADA members attending meetings, training sessions, networking events and engaging in collaborative working and monitoring and evaluation of these events, as well as an increase in the number of organisations working in the international development field interested in becoming a CADA member. The charity’s beneficiaries are CADA member organisations who will work more effectively and efficiently with one another in NI. The purposes of our charity do not lead to any harm. There is no private benefit. 2. The direct benefits which flow from purpose 2 include an increased understanding and appreciation in NI of global inequalities and their impacts at local and global levels and a greater understanding of International Development processes and the importance of sustainability. These benefits are (will be) demonstrated through attendance at events, quantitative and qualitative feedback from the general public, deeper engagement with government agencies, the development of an NI International Development policy statement and a general public better informed about international development issues. The charity’s beneficiaries are the Northern Ireland public who are interested in learning more and becoming better informed about international development issues and our elected representatives. The purposes of our charity do not lead to any harm. There is no private benefit.
... [more] [less]What your organisation does
CADA NI fosters collaboration between International Development NGOs working in Northern Ireland and with their networks in Ireland and the rest of the UK. CADA NI works to raise awareness of International Development issues in NI and to co-ordinate the activities of its member organisations to maximise the use of resources in the sector. This
work is done through organising public events and meetings of a variety of staff working for member organisations. CADA also provides training to its members on what constitutes good practice in International Development. CADA acts as a liaison between its members and UK, Irish & EU based International Development networks to promote information sharing.
