Public benefits

The Trust is established for charitable purposes only specifically the advancement of Religion (specifically the Evangelical Christian Faith), the advancement of education, the advancement of health, and the relief of hardship and disadvantage. Subsidiary to and in advancement of those matters the Trust does seek the advancement of community

development and improvement of the holistic life of communities of Developing Nations The Trust’s purposes are carried out exclusively in a manner that is beneficial to the public and is recognised by the law of Northern Ireland as being charitable. The Trust considers that promotion of the Christian Faith has a beneficial and transformative effect on Society locally and worldwide, results and benefits which include the promotion of positive ethical values, and the positive spiritual transformation of individuals, families and communities. The Trust considers that the advancement of education, specifically through the projects in which the Trust engages makes significant positive impact on communities and society. Education, including education of those in poverty and those marginalised (eg by persecution or because of gender) has been shown to have huge impact on developing societies. Results include improvement in family incomes, greater family and social cohesion and greater social mobility. The Trust has particular interest in the impact that can occur when there is business education and training in such communities and the reduction in vulnerability to people trafficking and exploitation through education. The advancement of health provision/ ‘relief of sickness’ and the relief of poverty, and specifically the projects in which the Trust becomes engaged are often linked, health and poverty often having common causes. The Trust considers that tackling the causes and outcomes of these matters is of great public benefit and seeks to assist a variety of projects in these sectors including medical research, disaster relief, assistance of vulnerable and exploited persons, and assistance of traumatised and poor adults and children (including in conflict and post conflict societies). Such actions can have multi-generational and long lasting positive effects, as well as creating immediate relief. We do not anticipate that any harm or possibility of harm, or any private benefit should arise from any of these purposes.
