Public benefits

1. By associating the appropriate Statutory Authorities, Voluntary organisations and local inhabitants in a common effort to advance education The direct benefits include improved educational levels and increased levels of Personal Development. These benefits will be demonstrated through self-evaluations, feedback from attendees/participants and

increased educational attainment. 2. By associating the appropriate Statutory Authorities, Voluntary organisations and local inhabitants in a common effort to promote the protection and preservation of health. The direct benefits include improved health outcomes and greater awareness of health issues. These benefits are demonstrated through attendance sheets, surveys, evaluations and other relevant monitoring tools. 3. By associating the appropriate Statutory Authorities, Voluntary organisations and local inhabitants in a common effort to relieve poverty. The direct benefits include a reduction in poverty and reduced levels of stress and anxiety. These benefits are demonstrated through attendance sheets, surveys, evaluations and other relevant monitoring tools. 4. By associating the appropriate Statutory Authorities, Voluntary organisations and local inhabitants in a common effort to promote education and awareness of good citizenship The direct benefits which flow from this purpose are increased levels of participation and improved knowledge of roles within society. These benefits are demonstrated through attendance sheets, surveys, evaluations and other relevant monitoring tools. 5. Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Community-based Charitable organisations in their attempt to achieve their charity objects. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose are increased levels of capacity and improved impacts within areas highlighted. These benefits are demonstrated through attendance sheets, surveys, evaluations and other relevant monitoring tools. There is no risk of harm in carrying out any of our purposes. The beneficiaries of all our purposes are people resident in Omagh Town and surrounding District. There is a level of training completed by our Trustees in regards to Good Governance. This is necessary to ensure benefit is provided to our beneficiaries. There is an element of Private Benefit, as there are skills acquired that in the Training that are easily transferrable to other settings. These benefits are incidental.

What your organisation does

FOCUS provide a wide range of services to member groups. Our overall emphasis is on Community Development, with all the associated elements for Community & Voluntary Sector groups, such as Lobbying, Advocacy, Training and Personal Development. FOCUS also provide groups with Practical Resources needed to further their work and reduce expense for

their efforts.

Charitable purposes

The objects of the Forum shall be to promote the benefit of people resident in Omagh Town and surrounding district of Omagh Town (the "area of benefit") without discrimination on the grounds of sex, age, disability or of political, religious or other opinions by associating the appropriate statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and local inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, promote the protection and preservation of health, relieve poverty, and to provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure-time occupation. With the object of improving the conditions of life for the said people and in particular: (a) Promote education and awareness of good citizenship among residents in the area of benefit; (b) Provide encouragement and practical support services to existing and new community-based charitable organisations in the area of benefit (herinafter called "the associations") designed to increase their efficiency and effectiveness in acheiving their charitable objects.
