Benefits:- The resulting direct benefit will be improved social and economic opportunities for disadvantaged areas; enhanced training and employment opportunities for the economically inactive; enhanced employability and skills of young people; enhanced cultural assets of South Belfast and increased access to cultural assets, particularly those from disadvantaged or minority groups; reduced anti-social behaviour a more stable housing mix. -These benefits are evidenced through feedback, monitoring and evaluation and use of social capital outcomes tool to funding bodies and local stakeholders. -Beneficiaries are the two Neighbourhood Renewal Areas of South Belfast (Inner South Belfast and South West Belfast) comprising 14,000 people, plus wider community of South Belfast, including areas at risk of deprivation, comprising 60,000 people. Object 3. Benefits:- The resulting direct benefit will be an increased range of arts and cultural events and activities; increased public knowledge of and access to local cultural assets of South Belfast. -These benefits are evidenced through feedback, monitoring and evaluation, benchmarking and use of social capital outcomes tool to funding bodies and local stakeholders. -Beneficiaries are the two Neighbourhood Renewal Areas of South Belfast (Inner South Belfast and South West Belfast) comprising 14,000 people, plus wider community of South Belfast, including areas at risk of deprivation, comprising 60,000 people. Object 5. Benefits:- The resulting direct benefit will be improved community relations, community safety, racial harmony, equality and diversity. -These benefits are evidenced through feedback, monitoring and evaluation, benchmarking and use of social capital outcomes tool to funding bodies and local stakeholders. -Beneficiaries are the two Neighbourhood Renewal Areas of South Belfast (Inner South Belfast and South West Belfast) comprising 14,000 people, plus wider community of South Belfast, including areas at risk of deprivation, comprising 60,000 people. Object 6. Benefits:- The resulting direct benefit will be improved outcomes of residents of South Belfast and in particular, those in disadvantaged areas. There will be no harm to beneficiaries arising from any of these purposes. Trustees will not privately benefit from the Charity’s purposes. Any benefit that may occur will be incidental.

What your organisation does

Purpose 1 Activities: -Convene forums which represent the various sectors and partners -Identify strategic priorities for improving lives of the South Belfast communities -Scrutinise policies and provide options to build capacity, consult and feedback -Lobby and negotiate to transform and improve service provision Purpose 2 Activities: -Working

with Neighbourhood Renewal Area Partnerships in South Belfast -Convening synergy meetings between the two Neighbourhood Renewal Area Partnerships -Convene Economic Fora and sub groups including Enterprise, Trade, Skills, Training and Tourism -Feed into social enterprise activities -Promote / match employment opportunities to benefit education of young people -Coordination and delivery of Saturday and Summer schools to improve the educational opportunities and life chances of young people, particularly those in disadvantaged areas. Purpose 3 Activities: -Contract management of Health Development programme for South Belfast -Operation of Strategic Health Forum -Representing South Belfast communities on Integrated Care Partnership, Local Commissioning Group and South Belfast Children and Young People Locality Planning Group Purpose 4 Activities: -Promoting local cultural and tourist venues, by holding events and programmes in partnership with schools, local communities and stakeholders. Purpose 5 Activities: -Community networking events and consultations around funding for all the sectors and ensuring all sections of the community are represented equitably -Work with Belfast City Council to explore building capacity -Improve opportunities for and signage and linkage with Black and Minority Ethnic communities -Promote positive events and experiences for communities of interest, such as older people Purpose 5 Activities: -Appropriate and relevant activities arising as necessary from identified need

Charitable purposes

The purposes are stated under clause 4 of the Articles of Association of South Belfast Partnership Board. The charity’s objects are to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of South Belfast without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, age, race, ethnicity, or political, religious or other opinions by associating together the said inhabitants, local authorities, public agencies, community and voluntary organisations and businesses in a common effort to:- 1. Advance community development by providing strategic and practical support to community and voluntary organisations in the area of benefit so as to increase their efficiency and effectiveness and to encourage such organisations to co-operate to achieve their aims. 2. Promote urban regeneration and redevelopment and revitalisation of South Belfast by: (i) promoting trade and enterprise for the benefit of the general public; (ii) furthering training and employment opportunities; (iii) developing strategies for physical regeneration, access and improving the quality of life of the inhabitants of the area of benefit; (iv) promoting cultural tourism, recreation and entertainment; (v) supporting community-based organisations concerned with housing, community safety and related issues. 3. Promote good physical, mental and emotional health and well-being and facilitate the development of strategies that address health inequalities. 4. Advance the arts, culture and heritage in the area of benefit by assisting in the initiation and development of festivals and other events and programmes and by encouraging community participation in arts and cultural activities. 5. Promote good community relations, religious and racial harmony and equality and diversity. 6. Promote such other charitable purposes as may from time to time be determined.
