Public benefits
The benefits of purpose one include offering coaching to players of ages 5 to 16 (boys and girls) to develop the player physically and with technical skills. These benefits could be demonstrated by the continual improvement seen in both the players physicality and their technical ability on the ball. The benefits for purpose two include that
the club is a member of the local Derry and District League, plus is also affiliated to the NIBFA, Northern Ireland Boys FA, (or National League). These benefits could be demonstrated through the fact that the club has been competing in the D&D league since its inception in 1974. The benefits for purpose three include allowing the players to develop quicker in a safe enclosed environment. Good facilities make it easier to coach and easier for the kids to learn. These benefits could be demonstrated through the quality of the facilities that the club uses, i.e. St Columb’s College. We have a full size 4G pitch and 2 grass pitches available to the organisation. The benefits for purpose four include promoting the club within the footballing community which gives the club a higher profile and potentially offers kids better opportunities. These benefits can be demonstrated by the fact that the facilities used are right in the middle of a number of different communicates, giving the club greater access to several communities. The benefits for purpose five include the club being able to offer parents a safe environment to bring their kids to. These benefits could be demonstrated through the fact that they offer safe facilities, two to three coaches per age-group, and we always ensure that all players wear the appropriate gear. The benefits for purpose six include all players are given the same amount of non-competitive football, regardless of ability, depending on their attendance at training. These benefits can be demonstrated through the fair methods applied by all coaches at all age-groups. The benefits for purpose seven include the club being able to continually attract players. These benefits can be demonstrated through the constant numbers of players that come to them each year. The beneficiaries of all the purposes of Tristar Boys’ FC are all children both boys and girls aged between 5 and 16. The purposes of our charity is to develop players into footballers, so this will not lead to the harm of the child, other than possibly being accidentally kicked while tackling for the ball. We ensure that all players have the correct footwear and shin pads. We can show that this harm is outweighed by the benefits as players are developing continually. growing stronger and becoming better at football. There is no private benefit at all flowing from these purposes.
