The benefits that flow from purpose 1.1 include increased local knowledge, access to information and education and the opportunity to utilise a local community hub. These benefits are evidenced through attendance at training events, feedback from beneficiaries, and requests for information or signposting. The benefits that flow from purpose 1.2
include reduced social isolation, improved community infrastructures and improved community life for local people accessing projects and events. These benefits are evidenced through attendance at activities such as our luncheon club, feedback from beneficiaries, interest in programs run, independent evaluations of our activities by monitoring and support services such as Supporting Communities NI. The benefits that flow from purpose 1.3 include increased community participation, motivation and experience leading to a confident and sustainable community. The organisation develops the capacity and skills of the members of the community in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet, their needs and to participate more fully in society. The organisation provides opportunities for people to learn through experience - opportunities that would not otherwise be available to them; and involves people in collective effort so that they gain confidence in their own abilities and their ability to influence decisions that affect them. These benefits are evidenced through increase in volunteer numbers and opportunities, for example, at our luncheon club, interest in information sessions and events. The benefits that flow from purpose 1.4 include increased confidence for local people in their elected community representatives and more local people benefiting from an effective community infrastructure. These benefits are evidenced through shared learning between groups, increased interest in community matters and increasing participants both at group and cluster level leading to an overall increase in community spirit . The benefits that flow from purpose 1.5 include an increase in partnership working, developing best practice and ensuring maximised participation and co-operation. These benefits are evidenced through increased successful joint programmes between groups, shared experiences and learning from one another. The benefits that flow from purpose 1.6 include an increased understanding of good governance and partnership working, effective community representation, influence on policy making and the building of relationships between the community and statutory bodies and local authorities. These benefits are evidenced through increased successful joint programmes between groups, shared experiences and learning from one another and collective applications for the funding of joint programmes. The benefits that flow from purpose 2 include increased social cohesion within the North Ballymena Area, reduced Anti-social behaviour and sectarianism and an increase in community confidence, wellbeing and community safety. These benefits are evidenced through feedback from the local community, beneficiaries attending courses, evaluation of projects by tutors and awarding bodies. There is no harm or private benefit flowing from the purposes. The beneficiaries of this purpose are those living within the area of benefit i.e. Chapel Corner to ECOS Roundabout, Frys Road (both sides of Frys Road), Grove Road (both sides of Grove Road) to the Ballymoney Road Roundabout (east side of Ballymoney Road), Ballymoney Road Roundabout to the Parkway Roundabout, Parkway Roundabout to Chapel Corner’ who have been identified by statutory bodies, themselves, family or the local community as suffering from financial hardship.

North Ballymena Community Cluster (NBCC) is made up of community and voluntary organisations based in the North Ballymena Cluster area. NBCC supports local community and voluntary organisations by providing them with information, training, facilities and by backing initiatives and projects and organising events that help to strengthen this sector
and add value to this area. Member organisations are able to benefit by using the cluster base to learn from each other, to share common issues and find solutions to common problems. NBCC also promotes good relations and community cohesion, religious and racial harmony, equality and diversity.
