Public benefits

Public Benefit flows from our Organisation's purpose in several ways:- 1) The blind and partially-sighted members benefit from the social contact provided by our Group and therefore enjoy an improved quality of life. 2) Blind and partially-sighted members are able to access news and information, which they cannot access through the written

word. 3) Blind and patially-sighted members have the opportunity to travel on holiday and on outings, which they would not be able to manage independently. Our members are drawn from Craigavon and Banbridge District Council area. There is no private benefit and there is no harm from the purpose.

What your organisation does

In furtherance of our Objects, Banbridge VIP Club may provide , assist in providing or secure the provision of social services, educational and recreational facilities and practical assistance for elderly people with a visual impairment or facilities for the benefit of the general public in the area of benefit.

Charitable purposes

The Association is established to provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation of blind and partially sighted people (hereinafter called “the beneficiaries”) in the Banbridge area (hereinafter called “the area of benefit”) with the objects of improving the conditions of life for the said beneficiaries and in particular, but not limited, to: (a) the provision of holidays, social welfare, recreational or educational facilities.
