Public Benefit 1 Our Public Benefit Statement is “to provide educational support to children and young people with special needs, living in Northern Ireland and surrounding area, through the implementation of practical programmes of support that enhance the development of children’s individual capabilities, competences and skills. The benefit

for the public includes promoting, sustaining and increasing individual and collective knowledge and understanding of children with special needs The benefit to the public includes developing better understanding and skills required to support children with special needs function in their families and communities. The benefit to the public includes developing expertise to enable more effective teaching of new skills to the children with special needs. Public Benefit 2 Our Public Benefit is to preserve the environment and heritage within or areas of services, through the incorporation of environmentally friendly policies and programmes into our work programmes and practices The benefit for the public includes using energy efficiently, reducing pollution, integrating health and exercise activates within our programmes, implementing recycling within our programmes, which ensure wider collective engagement towards a journey of sustainability. Public Benefit 3 Our public benefit is to provide facilities and services in the interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation to children and young people with special needs living in Northern Ireland and beyond. The benefit to the public includes provision of facilities for summer scheme activity programmes for children and young people with special needs, provision of facilities for after school programmes for children and young people with special needs, provision of facilities for youth programmes for youths with special needs , which enable the wider public to engage in volunteering and give back in a socially responsible way to those less fortunate than them.

What your organisation does

Our organisation provides social and educational programmes of support for children and young people with special needs including those with autism, ADHD, global development delay and other developmental disabilities. We run after school programmes offering one on one educational support with homework and learning for children with additional

learning needs; we offer learning through podcasting programmes which support children and young people with dyslexia, we offer after school programmes for children with autism between age of 4 and 11 years. We offer respite support over the weekend to families of children with disabilities, we offer advice and training to parents of children with special needs and we offer a youth club for youths with special needs. In addition we offer support for parents/ carers of children with disabilities including support for their mental and emotional well being.

Charitable purposes

The Company's objects are to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Northern Ireland and surrounding area (hereinafter described as “the area of benefit”) without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions, by associating together the said inhabitants and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education with particular reference to those children with special needs currently falling outside the statutory provision, to preserve the environment and heritage of the area of benefit and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
