Public benefits
To provide information, signposting guidance and support to the inhabitants of Larne Borough on issues such as alcohol, drugs and addiction as well as any mental health problems which may accompany such issues. The public benefit which flows from this purpose is that inhabitants of Larne Borough have access to up to date information about these
subjects from a local organisation. They also have access to services such as counselling or alternative therapies locally as well as information about other statutory agencies or voluntary organisations who may also offer help. This benefit will be evidenced by client feedback and the recording of the number of people accessing the services. The beneficiaries of the services offered are the inhabitants of Larne Borough whether it be the misuser themselves or their family. This purpose does not lead to harm. A private benefit is that the Trustees may gain training which may be of use in other areas of their life, however this benefit is incidental and necessary in order to offer the best service we can. Another private benefit is that a member of the Trustee’s family may access the services offered, however they will be assessed and treated the same as any other person wishing to access the service. This benefit is incidental and necessary so the beneficiaries can access our services.
