Public benefits

The Mall Baptist Church is a non-denominational church based on the Mall in the City of Armagh. The primary purpose of the church is the advancement of the Christian Faith throughout the Armagh City & District Area, and further afield. This is achieved through public worship, missionary and outreach work. Public Benefits Intended

Beneficiaries As the church is a non-denominational its services are open to all sections of the community who wish to find out more about the Christian Faith. As well as our Sunday service, the church is holding a Saturday night church service aimed specifically at the young people within the community. At specific times of the year the church visits local nursing homes, carrying outreach amongst the elderly and giving out gifts. This has been very well received. The church has been involved in outreach amongst the homeless in Dublin, distributing sleeping bags, warm clothes, and providing hot drinks & sandwiches. The church has also distributed food hampers at Christmas time, to specific individuals who are in need. The church currently sponsor 3 pastors in the West African country of Benin, whose purpose is the advancement of the Christian Faith through public worship and helping those who are in need. Benefits It is a well documented fact that taking part in worship within the Christian Faith results in a positive social contribution for the community. There is a marked improvement in behaviour within society that emanates from involvement in worship. Individuals who take part in worship have been shown to actively take part in community building and moral projects, such as blood donations. People who attend church are more likely to be in volunteering within areas such as education, fund raising for other charities & environment of improvement. It is well documented that churches help decrease the occurrence of crime and deviance amongst local teenagers and this benefits the community through providing a safe and stable environment that is attractive to investment, business expansion and new residents. Outreach and missionary work helps improve the social position of those who are struggling at the very bottom of the human ladder. By improving their circumstances this can lead to those people being able to take control of self improvement within their own circumstances.

Charitable purposes

The purpose of HCC is to see people far from Christ raised to newness in life and advance His kingdom throughout all nations and baptising them in name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit and to glorify God by maintaining and promoting the study of His word and His worship both individually and corporately, by evangelizing locally and overseas, and by edifying His saints. Therefore, we are committed to the proclamation of God's perfect Law and of the glorious Gospel of His grace through all the world, to the defence of that "faith which was once delivered unto the saints", and to the pure and faithful celebration of the ordinances graciously given by Christ as Mediator of His New Covenant.
