Religious designation

Religious designation recognises the unique oversight structures in some faith-based charities. It allows for proportionate regulation while ensuring oversight.

Charities can apply for designation, it’s not automatic, and they must show they meet the legal criteria. It doesn’t affect a charity’s registration status.
