Survey aims to understand drop in charity income

The Charity Commission for Northern Ireland is asking charities that have experienced a drop in income to complete a short five-minute survey to help us understand what is affecting charity income and the impact it is having on charities.

The Commission’s recently published Charity Register 2025 report indicates that some charities experienced a fall in reported income during 2024–2025 compared with the previous year. We have received a query about the research report which we are currently looking into, but the survey is live and we look forward to hearing your feedback.

You can find the survey at this link:  Why have the incomes of charities fallen - survey.

Your feedback will help shape a clearer picture of the pressures on Northern Ireland’s charity sector.
