Public benefits
The advancement of education through farm-based education and research will bring direct benefit to participants through their receiving hands-on learning experiences of conservation and agriculture in a healthy outdoor environment. The advancement of religion through raising awareness and understanding of Christian beliefs and practices regarding
the environment will bring benefit to participants through their being enabled to connect their faith to important ecological concerns in a practical and intellectually rigorous way through tailored sessions. The advancement of environmental protection or improvement will happen through practical conservation and sustainable agriculture work, directly benefitting the local ecosystem as well as the people in the immediate area who benefit from a healthy local ecosystem. Benefits of advancing education through farm-based education will be demonstrated through surveys and evaluation exercises done with groups who have undertaken sessions, as well as observations made by teachers or group leaders about the benefits that they can see in participants. Benefits of advancing religion can be demonstrated through the increased environmental activity of groups who avail of the charity's programmes as well as surveys to gauge growth in awareness and understanding of the connection between Christianity and environmental work. Benefits to the local ecosystem can be demonstrated through monitoring carried out on water, soil and key indicator species, whether flora (e.g. bluebells) or fauna (e.g. bumblebees and other pollinators). There is no harm arising from any of the purposes. In terms of intended beneficiaries and where the benefit extends, the charity aims to support local and visiting individuals, community groups, schools or church groups, religious or environmental protection and improvement groups as well as anyone who engages with the educational material produced on the charity’s website. This is in addition to the environmental beneficiary of the ecosystem in and around Jubilee Farm, which is the primary site at which the charity will do its work. There is no private benefit flowing from any of the purposes.
What your organisation does
The organisation develops farm-based education activities based in a Christian ethos with the primary site of operation being Jubilee Farm in Larne. relevant to farm-based education, do training or educational sessions for children or adults and produce media to communicate about our work online or in person.
