The direct benefits include reducing social isolation, for those most vulnerable within the area, reducing ASB, and providing health and wellbeing opportunities to increase wellbeing, and enhancing the local environment. Furthermore the direct benefits from this purpose include promotion of programmes, events and services available for local people

as information will be accessible through our social media and newsheets. The benefits can be demonstrated by the delivery, participation and evaluation of a range of programmes, events, training etc within the community. Additionally by providing a safe space where local residents are welcomed and listened to. We will also provide volunteers with opportunities to participate with community programmes and training, enabling them to use their current skills and to gain new learning and skills and experiences. Additionally the youth activities organised by the group provide young people with a positive focus and will encourage them to engage as young leaders learning a range of new skills . We also complete evaluation forms for all of the programmes that we deliver and keep records of all programmes. There is no harm arising from the purposes. The beneficiaries are the residents from the Ballykeel district and environs Our volunteers will be provided with Good Governance training, Child protection training, and managing finance training to name a few . This training provided will enable the group to organise, plan and deliver programmes within our community. The benefits would be that the volunteers will receive certificates which may help them in their own personal development. This is an incidental benefit which is also necessary for the development of the group

What your organisation does

Ballykeel1 Community First provides a range of services, activities, training and events to the local community. The group also attend various meetings with statutory and voluntary organisations where local issues or concerns are raised. We also complete an annual estate inspections in partnership with a range of statutory agencies. The group also

provide various activities and events to all accommodate people of all ages throughout the year. Youth activities have included football tournaments, competitions and seasonal events ECT. We also facilitate a range of and training and development programmes for the community. The Association also delivers Community events during the Summer and winter months which includes activities for those of all ages. We also take part in good practice visits to other communities.

Charitable purposes

The Association is established for the Advancement of Citizenship or Community Development and for the public benefit of the inhabitants of Ballykeel 1 District and its environs. (Hereinafter referred to as ‘The area of benefit') This will be achieved through the delivery of positive community events, provision of volunteering opportunities and through regular contact meetings with relevant statutory and voluntary bodies to improve the conditions of life for local people.
