Obvious exceptions to this are those activities associated with Christmas and Easter celebrations. - Wherever possible, be designed to be able to include those who are socially isolated through age, disability or other factors. 1.3 Partnership Working Some elements of the programme will be designed and delivered in partnership with other bodies in the village and neighbouring villages. What your organisation does

Most of the activities of the Association are conducted under the umbrella project title "Ballinderry Together" which received funding from the National Lottery Community Fund for NI. The basic principles underlining Ballinderry Together are described in the attached document. Elements of the project include: St. Patrick's cultural events,

Ulster-Scots Cultural events, Easter Egg Hunts, Santa Claus and other Christmas events in the village, Outings for senior citizens, and Village Summer Picnics. Outside this project, the Association is leading a funding drive to purchase a Publicly Accessible Defibrillator for the village. This is being funded by voluntary donations at Ballinderry Together events as well as specific fundraising events such as Community Quiz Nights. For the past 2 years the association has offered free Beginners and Advanced guitar classes to residents. We have also begun working in partnership with Aghalee Village Hall (our neighbouring village) to provide occasional joint activities for the youth in both areas. In addition the Association runs a moderated Facebook page with about 3500 current followers. This is used to keep the residents informed of what is going on in the area, warn of fallen trees/potholes etc, provide an opportunity for mutual support between residents, recommend tradesmen, find lost pets etc. The page cannot be used for advertising and all posts are moderator approved before posting.
