What your organisation does

Shelter Now’s main aims are to serve and honour Christ and to carry out charitable works by providing relief of poverty, education and training, primarily in refugee camps through the provision of shelter etc. To this end we garner funds here from individuals and Trust funds to support these aims.

Charitable purposes

'The Trust is established for charitable purposes only, specifically: the advancement of religion (specifically the Christian Faith), the advancement of education, the relief of poverty, the advancement of citizenship or community development, and the improvement generally of the holistic life of local communities in Developing Nations, in particular but not exclusively, Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa.”. 2.2 Such purposes must be carried out exclusively in a manner that is beneficial to the public and is recognised by the law of Northern Ireland as being charitable. 2.3 The Trust shall participate only in initiatives that are reasonably conducive to the realisation of the above mentioned purposes, such initiatives including (but not limited to): (i) Raising awareness and understanding of Evangelical Christian beliefs and practices; (ii) Providing relief and emergency aid for refugees and victims of natural disasters; (iii) Making such grants and donations as the trustees shall think fit; (iv) Providing practical assistance to those in conditions of need, hardship or distress; (v) Emergency relief and community development'
