Inclusion & Participation Breakdown of participants by age and ability There are some potential risks associated with a dance competition, but these are minimal and are carefully managed. Some participants, particularly young people, may feel pressure or disappointment from the competitive element. This is addressed by ensuring adjudicators provide constructive and encouraging feedback, and by promoting enjoyment and personal development rather than just winning. There is also a risk that some people may feel excluded due to costs such as entry fees or costumes. To reduce this, the competition can keep fees as low as possible. As dance is a physical activity, there is a small risk of injury. This is managed by following health and safety guidelines, ensuring proper supervision, and providing suitable facilities. Overall, any potential harms are low and short-term, and steps are in place to ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive experience for all participants. Our beneficiaries are children, young adults and the general public. No
