Care and respite services developed for children and adults with additional needs and/or disabilities to help them to reach developmental milestones and achieve their full potential. Services developed to meet their needs delivered in a setting designed for them with staff trained to deliver specialist education, training and care to help them
to meet their potential. SEN Space Brighter Futures has been developed to: Develop and deliver an early intervention programme for children with additional needs and/or disabilities; Develop and deliver daycare services for children and adults with additional needs and/or disabilities; Develop and deliver overnight respite services for children and adults with additional needs and/or disabilities; Develop and deliver a training and support programme for parents and carers. None the services are designed for the benefit of the participants. The beneficiaries of the charity are the children, young people and adults benefitting from the charities activities delivered to support them to reach developmental milestones and achieve their full potential preventing long-term impacts on their development and their health. The parents, carers and families of the children, young people and adults will also benefit from these services in the form of peace of mind, respite, social interaction, education and training to support their caring/family members. There is no private benefit
What your organisation does
SEN Space Brighter Futures was developed to offer support and respite services for children with disabilities and their families. It will work operate from premises in Dunmurry offering a learning rich environment with highly qualified staff. The key objective is to help children and adults to learn, to meet their full potential in a way that
is meaningful to them and their everyday lives. The organisation will offer services for children from 2 to 3 years old through to adulthood: an early intervention programme for 2–3-year-olds and pre-school/nursery provision. after-school facilities, youth club, sibling support, weekend clubs, holiday support and parent support services. Services will be delivered in an environment which is specific to individual needs, with staff trained so that they can facilitate the most positive learning outcomes. SEN staff will include individuals qualified to degree level in childcare and education, play therapists, speech and language therapists, and individuals specialising in occupational therapy. As the organisation develops trustees plan to develop facilities for respite and over night care for children and adults with additional needs.
