Purpose 1:This is demonstrated through having an active group of volunteers who have a genuine interest in Kilkeel High School and work in partnership with the school. Purpose 2: This is demonstrated through pupils having access to resources, events, activities and links with the local community which are not available through direct school funding. Charity trustees (Friends of KHS committee members) are usually parents at the school which their children attend or have had children attend in the past. They may also be past pupils or a past or present member of staff. They hence gain benefit in the same way as all other beneficiaries. Charitable purposes

Friends of KHS endeavours to advance the education of pupils in the school, through supporting staff, parents and wider school community.
