Purpose 1:This is demonstrated through having an active group of volunteers who have a genuine interest in Kilkeel High School and work in partnership with the school. Purpose 2: This is demonstrated through pupils having access to resources, events, activities and links with the local community which are not available through direct school funding. Charity trustees (Friends of KHS committee members) are usually parents at the school which their children attend or have had children attend in the past. They may also be past pupils or a past or present member of staff. They hence gain benefit in the same way as all other beneficiaries. What your organisation does
We aim to develop effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school and engage in activities or provide facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils. Members will assist with a wide variety of activities, such as assisting the school with events and supporting
parents. Members will offer their skills in the running of the charity and the activities we organise.
