Public benefits
The direct benefits flowing from the organisation's purposes can be seen in the everyday life of Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School, Greencastle. Through the efforts of Friends of Our Lady of Lourdes we are able to provide additional resources and experiences that make a real difference to the children's education and wellbeing. Recently funds
raised by the organisation have helped to purchase an Interactive Display Panel for one of the classrooms, giving pupils a more engaging and modern learning experience. We have also been able to contribute towards ICT equipment such as iPads which helps support digital learning across the different year groups and sports equipment to encourage teamwork, fitness and fun during playtime and after school activities. Our fundraising has also helped to cover the cost of school trips and special activity days, allowing children to enjoy learning beyond the classroom and to build confidence, friendships and memories. Beyond fundraising, our events bring people together creating a strong sense of community between parents, staff and pupils. This close partnership supports the school in providing the best possible start in life for every child. The benefits of our work can be demonstrated in several ways. We liase closely with the school, they provide feedback on how the equipment and resources funded by Friends of Our Lady of Lourdes are being used and the positive impact they have on pupils learning and enjoyment. Teachers have shared examples of how the New Interactive Display Panel and iPad's have made lessons more engaging and supported digital learning across different subjects. The impact of our fundraising can also be seen through the pupils participation and enthusiasm, from new sports equipment to taking part in school trips and activity days that our contributions have helped fund. Parents and staff often express appreciation through school newsletters, social media posts and at PTA meetings, where updates and photos are shared with the wider school community. Increased parental involvement, improved communication and visible improvement to school life all demonstrate that the efforts are achieving their purpose. There is no harm arising from any of the Friends of Our Lady of Lourdes purposes The main beneficiaries are the pupils of Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School, Greencastle who directly benefit from the resources, activities and opportunities funded and supported by Friends of Our Lady of Lourdes. In addition, teachers and school staff benefit from improved resources and stronger parental support, which helps enhance the overall learning environment. Parents and the wider school community also benefit through greater involvement in school life, stronger relationships and a shared sense of pride and connection with the school. There is no private benefit arising from Friends of Our Lady of Lourdes purposes beyond incidental benefits necessary to carry out activities. Minor benefits, such as parents, staff or volunteers enjoying social interaction while organising or participating in events are incidental and a natural consequence of running the activities.
