Public benefits

The direct benefits flowing from our organisation's purposes are that the community at large can avail of the facilities we maintain to address the welfare and wellbeing of those who might feel isolated, marginalised or discriminated against because of age, race, disability, gender or sexual orientation. We have created a wide range of facilities,

both indoor and outdoor, designed to enable members to socialise and engage in activities that interest them or to share their interests and hobbies with others. No The community as a whole benefits by having our facilities available in our locality. Individuals who, for reason of poverty, age, disability, ethnicity or sexual orientation may feel excluded benefit by being welcome and valued as members. No private benefit flows from any of the purposes. Were that to change it would only be if incidental and necessary.

What your organisation does

The Shed maintains both outdoor and indoor facilities in which members, including those with disabilities, can relax, socialise, entertain, or learn new skills, at minimal or no cost. All of these facilities are organised and maintained by members, on a voluntary basis.
