Public benefits

The benefits are the facilitation of evangelism in areas of Kenya and Tanzania where local churches have requested support to reach out into their communities with the Christian gospel. The benefits are demonstrated by the numbers of people coming to faith in Jesus Christ through these outreaches and becoming active members of local churches, with

changed and improved life-styles as a direct result of their new found faith. There is no harm arising to anyone from any of the purposes. The beneficiaries are mainly those who come to faith in Jesus Christ and experience all the spiritual, mental and emotional benefits from this faith. Churches also benefit from financial support to carry out evangelism which they previously could not afford, and from new believers joining their congregations. The only private benefit is the satisfaction of serving God in this way which is incidental.

What your organisation does

The organisation carries out fundraising events in Northern Ireland as well as requesting regular donations from supporters of our work. This money is then used for evangelism as described under purposes.

Charitable purposes

The purposes of the charity are to raise funds in Northern Ireland to be used for evangelism and Christian teaching in Kenya, Tanzania and any other African country as the trustees consider appropriate. This evangelism will include evangelistic crusades, door-to-door evangelism, church meetings etc. Such activities will be organised mainly but not exclusively by Bishop Lucas Mbogo of Showers of Revival Churches in Kisumu and his pastoral team. Funds will be used for the hire or purchase of venues and equipment, transport of evangelism teams and for food and accommodation for evangelism teams during outreach. We will also be involved in supporting and encouraging churches in the discipleship of new believers and will fund pastors’ fellowship meetings to facilitate this. We aim to provide bibles for any new converts who cannot afford to purchase one themselves. As a Christian charity we believe that the Christian faith is of great benefit both to individuals and their communities. We work in areas of great poverty, poor health and rising crime rates so encouraging Christian moral standards and faith can only improve the overall quality of life for the communities as well as the spiritual wellbeing of each individual who comes to faith. As the name of the charity suggests, our vision is revival of the Christian faith in Africa and all funds raised must be used with this aim in mind.
