Public benefits
The benefit which flows from these purposes includes increased educational progress and attainment of pupils in the school and links built with the local community. This is demonstrated through pupils having access to resources, events, activities and links with the local community which are not available through direct school funding. Improved
educational outcomes of the pupils at the school by providing support and enhanced learning facilities. Support families with uniform, meals and personal hygiene packs. Improve relationships and outreach in the community. Improving home and school links to increase attendance. Increase parental involvement inline with the NICIE principals of integrated education. Students are in school in full uniform and feel included in school life, they are not hungry throughout the day. Supporting parents to access the help they need. Attendance will increase and parents will feel comfortable attending events in school, parent teacher interview attendance will improve, thus improving relationships between home and school, and the community in general. The purposes do not lead to harm. The benefit is for pupils at Hazelwood Integrated College. Charity trustees (PTA committee members) are usually also parents at the school which their children attend and hence gain benefit in the same way as all other beneficiaries. This benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to all beneficiaries.
