Public benefits
The direct benefits which flow from the purpose of raising essential funds include allowing teachers to purchase items such interactive whiteboards to enhance their teaching and the children's education. The children benefit from this as their teachers can access a huge range of resources, supporting their learning. Every year we set different
goals to achieve. The direct benefits which flow from the purpose of working with parents includes healthy relationships being built in the school community. It allows parents to become involved in their child's education and play a fundamental part in enhancing the learning environment. Positive relationships are built between teaching/non teaching staff, allowing the smooth running of the PTA and the events planned. These benefits are demonstrated through successful events with parents, families and staff supporting each other. We demonstrate this from raising fantastic amounts of money at every event. All our events are always supported and they bring joy to the children. This school year (September 24-June 25) we set a target of raising £5000. By the end of June we raised over £13,000! The money raised helps purchase essential resources that cannot be purchased through school funding. We will consider asking parents for feedback on the running of the PTA and the events planned, through questionnaires from September this year. We believe that none of our purposes bring harm or the possibility of harm to anyone involved. We ensure risk assessments are completed prior to events. The charity's beneficiaries are all the children that attend Antrim Primary school, their families and all the staff in the school. We believe that there is no private benefit. It is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to all beneficiaries.
What your organisation does
We plan events in order to raise money to help the teachers buy equipment and resources and for the PTA to give back to the children and their families such as having free of charge Santa days, paying for buses for school trips. We plan events such as fairs, quizzes, Easter raffles and discos
