Public benefits

The direct benefits flowing from the purposes of the organisation are improved relationships between school, home and the wider community, the provision of funding for amenities that are not normally available. Effective engagement between home and school leads to an increased understanding and involvement in education. The benefits identified

above can be demonstrated through the high engagement levels of pupils, parents, staff and the community at events. These benefits are achieved by having an active Friends of Association working in partnership with the school and through engagement with parents providing pupils with access to much needed resources as well as to events, activities and links with the community. There is no harm arising from the purposes. The pupils of Killicomaine JHS Charity trustees (committee members) are usually also parents at the school which their children attend and hence gain benefit in the same way as all other beneficiaries. This benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to all beneficiaries.
