The direct benefits of our organisation’s purposes include reducing isolation and loneliness among women aged 18 and over by providing regular social activities, peer support, and opportunities to build meaningful friendships. Participants gain improved mental health, a

stronger sense of community belonging, and greater confidence to engage in local life. We also help connect women with local services and resources, contributing to their overall well-being and resilience. How can the benefits identified above be demonstrated? The benefits can be demonstrated through regular feedback and testimonials from participants, showing reduced feelings of loneliness and increased social engagement. We can track attendance and participation rates at events to measure ongoing involvement. In addition, periodic surveys or wellbeing assessments can capture changes in mental health and confidence levels. What your organisation does

The organisation meets weekly on Thursdays from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Sessions provide a safe and welcoming environment where participants can engage in arts and crafts activities alongside informal peer support and social interaction. In addition to regular meetings, the group organises educational workshops, skills development opportunities and day

trips to places of cultural and historical interest. These activities are designed to advance learning, promote wellbeing, reduce social isolation and encourage community participation. The organisation has also engaged with initiatives such as Women Crossing Borders, enabling members to broaden their understanding of the cultural heritage and diversity of our country, while fostering inclusion and mutual respect.

Charitable purposes

To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Greater New Mossley area, (hereinafter described as the “area of benefit”) without distinction of age, gender, race, political, religious or other opinion, by association with statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide (or assist in providing) facilities in the interests of social welfare, for health, recreation and leisure time occupation, with the objects of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
