Public benefits
The benefits that arise for Peninsula Veterans purposes are companionship and belonging to its members with a reduction in social isolation (This can be a particular challenge for veterans in Northern Ireland who tend not to mix widely) Other benefits include being part of a team and the ability to discuss any challenges or concerns with
Individuals who can fully empathise as they have similar shared experience. The garden aspect is proven to be therapeutic and can assist individuals with PTSD and well-being. Members in need of health issues particularly those relating to mental health issues are encouraged and signposted to relevant organisations for help and assistance. These benefits can be demonstrated through a number of courses run by Inspire Wellbeing covering self-help in the areas mentioned above. Social isolation improvements can be demonstrated by the number of activities such as Quiz and Curry Nights BBQ and Garden work parties. No The charities beneficiaries are all members of Peninsula Veterans along with their families. The only private benefit flowing from this purpose is other veterans who are not members of Peninsula Veterans who Peninsula Veterans would assist through signposting if appropriate this is incidental and necessary because we aim to assist veterans where we can.
