What are the direct benefits flowing from your organisation's purposes? The direct benefits include relief of poverty and distress through the provision of long term housing for people who cannot obtain a home because of poverty, status or social deprivation. Our work benefits people on low incomes who have to depend on the state; who live in

unsuitable housing and cannot improve their home up to a decent standard without state assistance, or who cannot afford to move to alternative decent housing; or who have no home, no income and who are excluded from state support. The benefits include: Families and households in poverty living in decent affordable suitable housing with improved safety, long term security of tenure and sustainable neighbourhoods with the opportunity for improved quality of life and health and well-being; Government promoting affordable, decent housing as a contributor to sustainable neighbourhoods and to a more equitable, balanced, fair and peaceful society. How can the benefits identified above be demonstrated? Benefits from the above purposes are measured over time by tangible results in the number of good quality properties being made available for families to be rehoused and the number of individuals and families who are able to access suitable accommodation at affordable rents and receive ongoing support to address poverty and social exclusion. Is there any harm arising from any of the purposes? There is no harm arising from any of the purposes Who are the charity's beneficiaries? The charity's beneficiaries are people who are homeless or in unsuitable accommodation and who are able to access good quality homes and support. Is there any private benefit flowing from any of the purposes? There is no direct private benefit flowing from the purposes. There may be some indirect benefits to private individuals or businesses who are engaged to carry out work to refurbish or maintain property but this is incidental and necessary to provide habitable and good quality housing.
