Public benefits

The benefits include: Improving the mental health and overall wellbeing of service users through supervised interaction with equines. Giving the community an affordable option to encounter groups of rescue animals and be educated in all aspects of animal welfare. The benefits can be demonstrated through testimonials from service users, online

reviews and comments on our social media pages. Peer recommendations and word of mouth. All visits are carefully structured under supervision, with risk assessments in place to minimise any risk from contact with the animals on site. Funds raised by the charity benefits the health, accommodation and husbandry of our rescue animals. All are provided safe and stimulating environments, which is evidenced by their calm and contented demeanours. We hope to extend to provision of outreach work to hospices and care homes if we raise sufficient funds for transportation off site. No private benefit.

What your organisation does

We currently have two ex racehorses and four miniature Shetland ponies that live as a non ridden family herd at our property in Tempo, County Fermanagh. We welcome visitors from all backgrounds to come and visit for tailored equine assisted therapeutic experiences supervised by a qualified professional. The horses and ponies have carried out this

service since 2020, in our previous community in Oxfordshire. Visitors have reported a wide array of benefits from contact with our herd.
