Public benefits

The direct benefits which flow from these purposes include access to facilities and activities to advance education and to provide facilities for the social interaction and leisure time occupation of local residents, young and old, to improve quality of life. This is demonstrated by providing a neutral space to bring together a range of different

individuals and groups, regardless of religion, ethnicity, age, gender or political opinion. The provision by our organisation of a well-equipped and managed community hall ensures that the people of Kircubbin and the surrounding district can enjoy access to a local facility where they can participate together in a range of activities. The local nature of the hall ensures that travel costs are kept to a minimum and therefore encourages the use of the hall meaning that neighbours and friends can enjoy the activities together and foster a greater sense of community while reducing feelings of loneliness and isolation. In addition to this, the hall provides an area where valuable information on topics such as health and wellbeing can be displayed on information stands and noticeboards. The number of people using our facilities, coupled with the diverse range of backgrounds represented, demonstrate the benefits mentioned above. Feedback from participants and beneficiaries also underscores this, and the increased level of uptake in activities is further confirmation of the benefits provided by our organisation’s purposes. For the past ten years our Christmas Festival has seen attendances of over 300 people. The purposes of our charity will not lead to any harm. People living in a specified geographical area and the general public/mankind. No
