Is there any harm arising from the purposes? No, there is no inherent harm arising from the purposes of Minorities Recognition Awards NI. Our sole focus is on positive recognition and celebration. We are committed to ensuring fairness, transparency, and inclusivity in our nomination and selection processes to avoid any unintended negative consequences. Our aim is to uplift and unite, not to create division or disadvantage any group. Who are the beneficiaries? There is no private benefit flowing from the purposes of Minorities Recognition Awards NI. Our constitution explicitly states that any income and property of the charity shall be applied solely towards the promotion of its charitable objects. There will be no distribution of profits or assets to members, trustees, or any connected persons. Any benefit received by individuals is directly linked to the public benefit of recognising achievements and promoting diversity, and is therefore incidental and necessary to achieving our charitable purposes. For example: • Award Trophies/Certificates: These are symbolic tokens of recognition, necessary to publicly acknowledge the achievements and provide a tangible representation of the award. Their value is minimal and entirely in line with the charitable purpose. • Event Participation (e.g., attendance at the awards ceremony): Any expenses covered for awardees or essential volunteers to attend the ceremony are directly necessary to facilitate the public recognition event and are not a private benefit but rather a means to achieve the charity's aims.

Our networking events foster collaboration and the exchange of ideas for a sustainable growth. Our activities increases public awareness of the challenges and opportunities faced by the ethnic minorities. This also

inspires future generations to pursue their dreams and encourage Entrepreneurship and employment . Our organisation promote job creation, innovation and community prosperity.

4. The objects for which the Organisation is established are: 4.1 To advance equality and diversity in Northern Ireland by recognising and celebrating the achievements and contributions of individuals and organisations from minority ethnic communities to the social, economic, and cultural life of the country. 4.2 To promote community cohesion and good relations between people of different backgrounds in Northern Ireland through the organisation and presentation of recognition awards and associated events that showcase the talents and successes of minority individuals and groups. 4.3 To promote racial harmony, equality and diversity, by creating opportunities for growth and expansion of BAME businesses through an award system and challenging stereotypes linked to BAME businesses and the wider community. 4.4 To promote community relations and social inclusion of migrants through the provision of educational, recreational and multicultural events which bring the community together. 4.5 To support the integration and well-being of individuals and businesses from BAME migrant communities in Northern Ireland by providing resources, programs, and recognition that facilitate their further development and social inclusion, thereby addressing disadvantage and promoting a more equitable society. Operates and is required to register as a Charity in Northern Ireland Nothing in the articles will authorise an application of the property of the Charity for purposes, which are not charitable in accordance with section 2 of the Charities Act 2011. For the avoidance of doubt, the system of law governing the articles of association of the Charity is the law of Northern Ireland.
