What your organisation does
The main aim of the PTFA is to promote closer links between home and school, and it is an excellent way of bringing staff, parents, friends, and those living in the area around the school, together socially in support of the school. The PFTA will be involved in organising events for the children and community. The events should be fun, enhance
community spirit and provide social entertainment for the children and parents alike. The PTFA will raise money for the benefit of all the children at the school, to complement their education and to give facilities over and above those provided by the EA. There will be a committee including at least three named officers: the chair, treasurer, and secretary. All parents are automatically members of the PTFA, and we encourage everyone to get involved in some way. Anyone connected to the school can attend the AGM or PTFA meetings, which we will hold regularly/half termly. Each year group will have 2 parent/teacher reps. Their job is to keep parents up to date with all the PTFA events and help to organise the volunteers for each event. It is our hope that each family volunteers at one event for at least one hour each school year.
