Public benefits
The direct benefits include provision of education and recreational facilities during and out of school hours to improve children's education and wellbeing. This promotes improved health and well being outcomes, reduced levels of social isolation, stress and anxiety, and increased: socialising, cooperation, good community relations, skills and
confidence which will improve circumstances and oportunities. These benefits are demonstrated through feedback from children and parents of children attending St. Mary's Primary School (Ballygawley) and families and beneficiaries and attendees at our meetings, events, classes and activities using: evaluation forms, surveys, verbal feedback, and reports and evaluations of our services and activities. In providing a local point of social contact and activities for the community benefit there is no possibility of harm out weighing the benefit - there is no harm arising frim any purposes. The charities beneficiaries are primarily all the children who attend St. Mary's Primary School (Ballygawley). A private benefit to trustees may arise from our ongoing services and programmes of leisure and activities: information, events, trips, and sports activities. Through this, Trustees gain services, leisure activities, information, skills and experience which are transferable to other settings which may benefit their own community group or area. Our own trustees receive information, services and activities in the same way as other beneficiaries and are assigned activities, support, information and services in the same ways as other beneficiaries. these benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.
What your organisation does
The organisation provides the children in the school with fun, creative, engaging activities and experiences at numerous times throughout the school year i.e. Halloween Christmas and end of year by financing and facilitating the experiences/activities. Additionally we apply for additional funding through grants, schemes and organise fundraising
events to increase our capital so we can finance and support our school needs to enhance learning of all pupils through experiences as well as well as resources. This can provide crucial support for our pupils with Special Educational needs as well as those from socially deprived areas needing this additional support. The PTA organise various events through the year for parents and members of the local community to take part in as a way to meet others and support their children. The chair liaises with the school principal/ teachers to identify areas of need in the school where we can provide support and identify larger scale needs for further development.
