Public benefits

The direct benefits flowing from the purposes are i) the enhanced knowledge and understanding of the disciplines and skills of the artists taking part; ii) the contribution to the overall well being of the local arts communities and the wider community affected by these residency sites set up in their locales; iii) the overall sense of achievement

and well being and confidence building that results when people of all ages and backgrounds participate in the arts; iv) the improvement to the overall well being of the general public that comes from public exhibitions of artistic works; v) the knowledge and training gained by the artists together with the help to their artistic careers; vi) the enjoyment and pleasure in society that art encourages. These benefits can be evidenced from the subsequent careers of the artists taking part, by the network of residency sites and artists that have now been established, the enthusiastic participation of the public including young people and disadvantaged groups in our talks and workshops and the positive feedback we receive. The benefits are also evidenced by the positive appreciation of the public to the public exhibitions produced during the artist residencies, the subsequent careers of the artists involved in the residencies, and by the high level of engagement of the general public with our work. All of the above is evidenced by the collection of feedback from artists, arts facilities, educational establishments and the general public in the form of questionnaires, evaluation forms and general feedback. There is no harm arising from any of the above purposes. The charity's beneficiaries are the people of Derry, Donegal and Italy and in particular the artists of those communities. There is no private benefit flowing from any of the above purposes.
