Individuals and organisations benefit from having a community partnership of interest groups within the area which is open and accountable to the inhabitants of the area of benefit. Local people will be able to participate in the development of ideas, community planning and decision-making processes which affect the area in which they

live. Improved partnership working with local and regional authorities, to further promote or achieve strategic aims and objectives of the organisation and facilitate observed improvements in the area. Improved partnership working by bringing together representatives of voluntary organisations, government departments, statutory authorities, and individuals in meetings, conferences or training courses that facilitate the sharing of information, good practice and lead to overall advancement in the area of benefit. Allow further training for individuals, staff and volunteers. [How can the benefits identified above be demonstrated?] Preparation of regular monitoring reports, implementation of effective governance, promoting and incorporating good practices as well as adherence to government guidelines & regulations. Using robust financial procedures and adhering to the requirements of funding organisations/government departments. The relevant regulations specified by the Companies Acts and the Charities Commission NI will also be monitored regularly to ensure compliance. Annual accounts will be prepared by the Company's external accountants. Monthly management administrative reports will be prepared for the Company's Trustees and made available at all regular Board Meetings. The organisation's purposes are intended to prevent and avoid harm to individuals. it is the intention to improve the well-being, safety, and health of individuals and communities by identifying and avoiding any risks. The beneficiaries are mainly residents of communities in the area of benefit, community organisations, government departments, agencies and local Councils. None of the organisation's trustees or any of the Company's collaborative associates will receive any private or personal benefits.

The organisation encourages and facilitates a community partnership of interest groups within the area and is open and accountable to the inhabitants of the area of benefit. It aims to empower local people, through democratic participation, in the development, planning and decision-making process which affects their lives. To encourage and

participate in partnership working with any authority, national, local, or otherwise that may be needed to further promote or achieve strategic aims and objectives of the organisation. To bring together representatives of voluntary organisations, Government departments, statutory authorities, and individuals in meetings, lectures, seminars, conferences or training courses that facilitate both individual and organisation advancement in the area of benefit. Collect and disseminate information on all matters relating to its objects, and to exchange such information with other bodies having similar objects whether in the local area or region. The company is currently working on reviewing its Neighbourhood Renewal Action Plan and Local Growth Partnership Plans, supported by a range of trustees from other charities, community development organisations and local government departmental staff.

Charitable purposes

The objects of the Company are to: - a. Promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Outer West, Foyleside and the neighbourhood together as defined by the Directors (hereinafter called 'the area of benefit') without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of inhabitants and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants; b. Promote such other charitable purposes as may from time to time be determined.
