What your organisation does

MEDA is a community organisation that engages with a wide range of individuals, from children to the elderly, who benefit from the organisation's existence. Current services provided range from youth programmes, drop-in activities and food-based initiatives, particularly with the elderly, to provide opportunities for the building of relationships

and work towards the identified outcomes of the organisation which aims to work with vulnerable, isolated and marginalised people. The organisation has also begun the process of establishing counselling services, aimed specifically at adults who have experienced trauma, with professionally qualified volunteer counsellors. The organisation also carries out a range of community-based training in support of other statutory agencies. Our desire is to increase provision via the organisation at our premises to operating on a six-day a week basis with the help of volunteers.
