What are the direct benefits flowing from your organisation's purposes? The direct benefits flowing from our organisation’s purposes will be that heart failure patients and their families/ carers will avail of activities, support and education this benefit is necessary due to the lack of support services available for those facing diagnosis.
Educating professionals and those undiagnosed to improve the care of patients and their families with heart failure. How can the benefits identified above be demonstrated? The benefits identified can be demonstrated clearly by the numbers attending activities and availing of our services. We will obtain feedback through a number of mechanisms such as evaluation forms, social media and verbally at our meetings. Is there any harm arising from any of the purposes? No. Who are the charity's beneficiaries? The beneficiaries of this charity will be anyone affected by heart failure in Northern Ireland their families and carers and wider community. Is there any private benefit flowing from any of the purposes? Is it incidental and necessary? The only private benefit flowing from this purpose is that committee members may also avail of services and gain knowledge from training courses but this is incidental and necessary because it is desirable that they gain knowledge to adequately provide the services afforded by our organisation.
What your organisation does
The Heart Failure Warriors Ni will carry out its purpose by providing services for those directly affected by heart failure to combat loneliness and isolation that this diagnosis brings to them and their families. We will promote active health and provide peer support through group meetings and 1 to 1 session for those affected by heart failure and
their carers and family. Education (signposting to relevant agencies), therapeutic and social activities delivered throughout the year to help individuals learn to live with their condition, aiming to build confidence and self-esteem to improve quality of life through friendships and laughter. The aim of the group is promote awareness of heart failure and to encourage early diagnosis by knowledge transfer.
