Public benefits
Whilst a public benefit statement has been provided, the Commission has relied on other evidence to satisfy itself that the public benefit requirement has been met. The direct benefits are not limited to but includes been our brothers keeper in need and indeed, standing strongly with our members and their families in times of stress, hardship,
difficulty and celebrations. These benefits are demonstrated to members and the families in need and also to our children by teaching them our language, tradition and culture. There is no harm attached since the brotherhood sacrifice outweighs any harm that might be involved. The charity's beneficiaries are Members and their families together with the community. The only private benefit flowing from this purpose is when we extend our hands to other organizations incidentally. To encourage one another in a foreign land. To promotion our language, culture and tradition. To promote the psychological and social wellbeing as is customary with our Igbo people in other towns and cities within Nigeria and in the diaspora. As we are predominantly christians, our union is founded on biblical principles of being our brothers’ keepers in love and in unity and in the knowledge that there is strength in numbers.
