Public benefits

Advancement of religion - The benefits of this purpose are improvement in physical, spiritual and mental wellbeing, and development of social skills and self-esteem. Beneficiaries and volunteers are able to connect in community with other like-minded people and share a sense of having helped others. Advancement of citizenship - This seeks to

benefit individuals and their communities by encouraging responsible citizenship and develop a moral framework and build relationships with their peers. This is a direct and indirect benefit to the public by promoting tolerance and understanding amongst diverse ethnic and cultural groups. An indirect benefit for the public stems from providing a place for young people to socialise without causing public disturbance. Relief of poverty - This is a direct, public benefit to the community through the alleviation of poverty. This will improve the welfare of the beneficiaries, encouraging their physical and emotional well-being and thus helping them to cope better with the challenges of life. These benefits are demonstrated through feedback from Beneficiaries and from regular evaluation of the services provided to Beneficiaries. There is no harm arising from any of the purposes. Adult, youth and children’s activities are provided to benefit members of the general public. The beneficiaries are primarily the adults and young people who take part in activities. Where there is private benefit it is incidental including the sense of wellbeing to those who volunteer and any training that they may receive through their active participation in a wide range of roles
